Greenpeace and the Environment

I am a Christian and an environmentalist at the same time... Seriously, as Christians we were given dominion over the earth, but authority comes with responsibility. Taking care of something does not mean destroying it. In my home country (Germany), Greenpeace developed a strategy of protests in the 90's where they always had a workable alternative ready for presentation. This way, Greenpeace gained support in Germany, because they stopped just being an unrealistic cry-baby. Unfortunately, that isn't the case everywhere and I don't know about Greenpeace Germany nowadays. Anyway, here are some thoughts on the Environment...

For now, I only have two links here: to Greenpeace Germany (in German) and Greenpeace International.

In 1985, the French government planted a bomb on a Greenpeace ship ('Rainbow Warrior'). Especially with the current terrorist threat, this was a low-point in European politics, when a democracy used terrorist methods. One journalist died, the ship sank, and Greenpeace developed the catch phrase "You can't sink a rainbow".
